Outreach session at the Center for Neighborhoods this Saturday 10 AM

Coming up this Saturday morning, February 18th, from 10 to 11.30 AM at the Center For Neighborhoods, Kansas City: Room 210, 4747 Troost Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64110, map.

Program coordinator Julia Cole will make a brief presentation about the Rocket Grants program and the resources that are available to help you submit a strong application. She will also answer questions from the audience.

There will then be a short talk and slideshow by 2015 Rocket Grants Award winner Keelin Austin from Harrison Street DIY, whose collaborative project Columbus Park Skate Park is still growing and bringing together their neighborhood. Keelin will talk about his team’s experience applying for the grant, and how they used it to build neighborhood solidarity, leverage further grants and involve local kids in learning how DIY becomes DIWO.

PARKING is available across the street in the Discovery Center parking lot. Coffee and light refreshments. Please join us!
