More “Ascent” Payload Design and Build Photos

Photos leading up to launch this Saturday, October 1st at 11 AM.

Here are 4 more photos from the design and build sessions.  These photos were taken using balloon’s onboard DSLR camera fitted with the Sunex Superfisheye Lens (http://www.superfisheye.com/).  The “warped” perspective given by this fisheye lens allows the image to compress a 185 degree field-of-view into the circular photo.  Photos like these will project on the Gottlieb Planetarium’s sixty-foot dome and “uncompress” to give a full, 360 degree panorama.   Design and build are happening in the basement workshop of the HMS Beagle Science Store (http://www.hms-beagle.com/) in Parkville, Missouri.
