The Vox Narro project hosts an afternoon of traditional and contemporary Kurdish poetry, music and dance, plus an introduction to Kurdish literature, culture and history. Following the presentation, sample a variety of Kurdish cuisine.

1 PM

  • Welcome/Introduction by poet David Arnold Hughes
  • A presentation on the History of the Kurdish People by Ashty Hamaamin: A brief discussion about the Kurds’ journey to Kansas City, Missouri

2 PM

  • A taste of various Kurdish Cuisines Accompanied by Poetry readings, Music, and Dance
