Hello There! We are Field Trip Publishing.
Field Trip Publishing is a Kansas City based collaborative project founded and staffed by Eric Dobbins and Kelly John Clark – both former directors of Lawrence, Kansas’ Wonder Fair Gallery / Studio / Shoppe. Fully funded by a 2011 Rocket Grant, Field Trip Publishing will enable locally – based artists to explore new possibilities in their own work by providing technical and conceptual direction in the areas of merchandising, promotion, and limited – edition multiple production.
Collaborations with Field Trip entail a series of scheduled meetings as well as regular communications between the Field Trip staff and the artist. These exchanges will result in the production of a limited edition multiple designed by the artist and manufactured by Field Trip. The multiple will be carried by a number of local and nationally based merchants and will be featured in a cumulative exhibition of all of this year’s collaborations.
