This Week at Zz School

This week marks our one year anniversary at The Zz School of Print Media!

Over the summer, thanks to a generous grant from REACH, we have expanded our footprint in KC to include a letterpress shop at Vacant Farm.  We are on a roll with our screen print classes at Oddities Prints, so this means Zz School classes will now be held in two locations.  We are excited to finally have a space of our own to design and build a teaching print shop that fits the needs of our students and members.

In addition to offering bookbinding and letterpress classes at Vacant Farm, we are building the Zz School Library. This project was spear-headed by Zz School Student, Shop Technician, and now, Head Librarian, Asa Wilder.  Our library will support the mission of Zz School by providing opportunities for artists to develop their skills, craft, imagination, creativity, and spirit through a diverse collection of information, images, and physical objects.  I am very excited for the future of Zz!

Enrollment for our Fall Session is still open, though limited places remain!  We are dedicated to accessible equipment, information, and opportunities.  Join us!
